About Me
“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.” – Titus 2:11-14
Welcome to the journalings of a broken vessel with a perfect Savior. I hope that while you are here you are encouraged, humored, and blessed. I'm a young woman who desires to bring glory to her Savior no matter what.
Here are some things you should probably know before reading (this is an “About Me tab, after all):
• First, I have a strange sense of humor. If you don’t get it or think its funny, don’t worry. You can join the club of millions of others who are in the same position.
• If you’re looking for a blog about someone who knows everything and has got it all together then you’ve come to the wrong place. Sorry to disappoint you. ☺
• There’s a lot of girls in my house. Six of them, to be exact, including me, my mom, and my sisters. Plus the chihuahua named Paris (don’t even think about asking). And then there’s my dad who has somehow managed to stay sane. ☺
• I like music. A lot. I’ve played piano for as long as I can remember (well, almost…there was that one time with that one babysitter when I was three that I remember but you get the point). I’ve been blessed with lots of opportunities to learn and perform (a.k.a. completely embarrass myself) and it’s pretty much my favorite hobby (except for playing Mission Impastable at church – once again, don’t ask). Besides playing piano, I also sing and sometimes pull out my guitar. Sometimes. I’ve got a kind-of recording studio in my basement so don’t be surprised if I post my latest song every once in a while. ☺
• I used to live in Fiji. More on that later 'cause it’s a LONG story.
• Calculus is one of my all-time favorite subjects. Don’t judge. I’m a numbers person and I can’t help it. Feel free to leave now. ☺
• I love Jesus. Actually, I’m learning what it means to love Jesus. It’s a process and I’m eternally thankful for grace as I stumble. Again. And again. For a long time, I was okay with staying in the same place spiritually, but lately I’ve gotten this healthy discontentment. I want more of Jesus and I don’t want to be in the same place in 20 years, 20 months, or 20 minutes. I want to let go of myself and let God do His amazing heart-changing life-altering work. Bring it on.
So that’s probably more than you needed to know. Have fun and be blessed as you learn about what a day in the life of me, Sadie Elise, looks like. Oh, did I mention that I’m left-handed?
